Dementia Carers Support Group
This is a bi-monthly support group for people who are carer’s of loved one’s suffering dementia.
Fortnightly meetings from 10am to 12pm are currently held at the Springwood Neighbourhood Centre HUB, and includes regular guest speakers, access to an on-going lending library of books, information, referral and advocacy.
The aim of these meetings is to present information and provide opportunities for social support for carers who perform diverse caring roles either full time at home, part-time, whilst loved ones are in respite or in permanent residential care. Self care is a large focus of this group. These are open meetings, so please feel free to drop by for a cuppa and a chat.
