Tanderra Vacation Care operates during all the public school holidays except for 2 weeks over the Christmas period. Our opening hours are from 7.00 am to 6.30 pm.
Children attending any primary school may come to Tanderra during the school holidays. Those about to commence kindergarten are able to attend during the January holidays.
Children enjoy a variety of interesting activities such as arts, crafts, games, sports, cooking and so on. They may also simply make up their own fun and games and play with friends in our safe and always-supervised environment.
Each week, the children go on organised excursions and sometimes we have visitors come into the centre to share special skills or put on a show for the children. Holidays are always lots of fun and there’s always plenty to do. Parents can rest assured knowing their children are happy and well cared for.
As a not-for-profit service, we always aim to keep the costs as low as possible. Fees currently are $27.00 per child per day during vacation care. Childcare Benefit (CCB) is available to all families, with no upper income limit and so many families will find their daily fee very significantly reduced. There are, of course, extra costs involved when excursions and incursions are planned and CCB also reduces the cost of these for families.
Our booking sheets are available 2 weeks prior to the start of each holiday. Parents receive a copy of the programme so that they know what will be happening each day.
