Tanderra is an accredited out of school hours service that meets the high standards set by the Department of Family & Community Services. It is a happy and safe place for children to spend their out of school hours, while their parents are working, traveling to and from work, training or seek work or for any other reason, require their primary-aged children to be cared for.
Children who are currently enrolled in primary school may attend Tanderra and those children about to commence kindergarten may attend during the January school holidays.
Tanderra is a project of Springwood Neighbourhood Centre, a not for profit organisation which seeks to keep costs as low as possible for families.
At Tanderra, children are:
* seen safely to and from the bus stops and schools we service
* provided with healthy, nutritious meals and snacks
* supervised at all times by caring and suitably experienced and qualified staff
* given opportunities to join in with exciting, fun and challenging activites
* given the freedom to choose what they do and with whom they play
It really is a home away from home.
Childcare benefit is available to all families as is the childcare tax rebate, making it an even more affordable service.
Tanderra has wheelchair access and is committed to the principles of access and equity. we welcome and seek to support and include all members of society.
